Verify compliance to safety, health and environmental requirements in the workplace

Duration: 2 days 08h00 to 16h30 (1 Hour lunch break)
Summary: A course for employee’s who are required to verify compliance to OHS requirements in the workplace.
Accreditation: CETA accredited against unit standard 259604 Verify compliance to safety, health and environmental requirements in the workplace NQF level 02.
Content: Modules/outcomes:

  1. Explain the safety, health and environmental requirements applicable in a specific workplace.
  2. Monitor workplace compliance to safety, health and environmental requirements against specified requirements.
  3. The Primary Survey – Emergency Scene Management
  4. Evaluate performance of workplace safety activities required by safety, health and environmental management programmes.
  5. Remedy workplace non-compliance to and non-performance of safety, health and environmental requirements and programmes.
Entry requirements: Communication at NQF Level 1 or equivalent. Mathematical Literacy at NQF Level 1 or equivalent. Medium of instruction and training materials are in English.
Min/max number of learners Minimum: 10 learners per course
Maximum: 25 learners per course
Who Should Attend: This course is to enable workers, supervisors and managers tasked with ensuring OHS compliance in the workplace, to undertake this function.
