Life skills: Computer Skills

Duration: 2 day course (08h00 to 16h30) 1 hour lunch
Summary: A course designed to teach people who have never been exposed to computers how to find their way around a computer from switching on to creating files and folders.
Content: Modules:

  • Identify what a computer is.
  • Identify the functions of a computer
  • Identify the components of a computer
  • Turning the computer on
  • Identify the desktop of a computer
  • Using a mouse
  • Turning the computer off
Entry requirements: ABET level 4 (Basic reading, writing and arithmetic).Mathematical literacy and communication at NQF level 4.

Medium of instruction and training materials are in English.

Minimum course duration 2 days.

Who Should Attend: This course is designed to assist learners who have not been exposed to working with computers. Anybody who has a need to understand how to use a computer.
