Summary: | Life skills programmes are designed to give learners who are found competent the skills to understand and manage aspects of life they may encounter in their daily lives. Career guidance gives the learner insight into career choices and selection. |
Content: | Modules:
1.1 Investigate possible employment opportunities in own area. 1.2 Investigate the requirements for specific work opportunities. 1.3 Match own personal profile to career and labour market opportunities. 1.4 Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of the process of accessing work/income generating opportunities. |
Entry requirements: | ABET level 4 (Basic reading, writing and arithmetic).Mathematical literacy and communication at NQF level 1.
Medium of instruction and training materials are in English. Minimum course duration 1 day. |

Who Should Attend: | This course is designed to assist learners who are about to embark on careers, or learners who are faced with a work change, to explore the world of work and select a work path or type of employment. It is intended for the unemployed, out of school youth and employees faced with a change in employment status. |
