Fire Marshal/Warden

Duration: 1 day 08h00 to 16h30 (1 hour lunch)
Summary: The course provides the basic understanding fire prevention, fire protection, the evacuation of personnel and the establishment of assembly areas. The workshop is based on the International Fire Prevention Association standards.
Accreditation: This is a non- unit standard based course. SAIOSH accredited for one CPD point.
Content: Modules:

  1. Identify the emergency situation.
  2. Assist with an evacuation drill.
  3. Respond to emergency signals in own area of responsibility.
Entry requirements: ABET level 4 (Basic reading, writing and arithmetic). Method of instruction and training materials are in English. In certain circumstances alternative languages will be catered for, but only by prior arrangement.
Min/max number of learners Minimum: 8 learners per course

Maximum: 25 learners per course
Who Should Attend: The course is aimed at those employees who are tasked to assist and control evacuation of staff and the implementation of fire safety within their place of work.
